SG Double theme forced to mobile layout on full screen

    Dear all,

    I have an SG Double theme and at some stage recently, when viewing on a desktop/laptop screen the layout of the website is showing as the mobile version. the only thing I can think of is that this is some kind of plugin update as no code has been changed for years. Can someone point me in the right direction so that I can get the screen to view properly on a desktop/full-screen view, please?

    Can you give a link to your website? What the resolution of the screen on the laptop?

    Many thanks for the reply. the website is https://www.programmecollector.net/

    I’ve tried a couple of laptops mine being 1920×1080 and a number of different desktop screens mostly 1280×1024. anything higher than a tablet screen doesn’t seem correct.

    Actually, looking at it even the landscape view on a tablet doesn’t look correct, although maybe that’s just layout issues.

    Hi @cats_456,

    I may have fixed it (well not me exactly) The php for the site was set to v5.6 , & the latest php supported on the hosting server was v7.3. As soon as this was updated. The issue disappeared.

    @grwhite1, now I see what you mean. There are options in the customiser for this theme to set site width, so the site width was set to some low number I think and layout to ‘the boxed’

    Hi @cats_456,

    Thank you, yes I did see those options in the customiser but no matter what I set it to the layout still showed as the tablet configuration.

    would there have been any code in the theme update that would have relied on the newer version of PHP?
