• I’ve activated the “base” and “publish” plugins to publish posts to my Facebook fanpage directly from the ‘edit post’ page. This works fine!

But I noticed after activating the plugins and creating the ‘application’ thing on Facebook suddenly my already existing Facebook ‘like’ and Google ‘+1’ buttons disappeared. The (google and facebook) scripts are still active, but the buttons don’t show up.

After uninstalling the plugins and deleting the ‘application’ page on facebook they appeared again.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

I have no explanation for your problems with the Google button, but SFC is not compatible with any other Facebook code or plugins. This is generally the case, in fact, and one of the reasons I created SFC in the first place. Different Facebook codes on a site conflict with each other. So I made SFC in order to have a bunch of Facebook plugins that would work together instead of conflicting.

Remove your existing Like button code and use the SFC-Like plugin instead.

The Google button problem is not related to SFC.

    Thanks a lot, Otto.

Removing all the default Facebook scripts and enabling your ‘like button’ plugin solved the problem. Even the Google button shows up again.
