Severe Bug with Category Selection in WordPress 6.7.1

After upgrading to WordPress 6.7.1 today, I encountered a major bug when selecting categories for a post!

For example, if I select only Category A and Category C, after saving or publishing the post, the post not only appears under A and C but also under random categories like F, G, H, and others!!

Basically, the system is automatically assigning additional categories to the post when saving or publishing—even though I didn’t choose them!

I’ve tested this issue across multiple accounts, and the result is the same.Additional Notes:

• If I select only one category, for example, Category A, it works fine—no additional categories are added after saving.
• However, if I select two or more categories, the post ends up being assigned to a dozen or more categories automatically!

Please fix this issue as soon as possible!
