I like the way you’ve put the back end together, but there seems to be an awful lot of unnecessary markup on the page (see red arrows). Maybe this is WordPress’s autop function making a mess?

Why are there empty p tags with nothing but “Inner panel start” and “Inner panel end” comments?

Why is there a p tag nested inside h4.wpsm_panel-title? Why are there unnecessary br and p tags all over the place?

And I don’t think this is causing any issues, but for some reason there’s a lot of extra white space in the copy (see blue arrows).

Finally, why did you hardcode CSS for the h3 that is the Accordion Section Title?

I tried installing the plugin on a site running a different theme and it doesn’t have these issues. The trouble site is running Genesis. Maybe the theme’s screwing it up somehow?

Well, like I said I’ve tried it on another site not running Genesis. I suspect something odd is happening with that theme. I tried another accordion plugin and it also had problems. Looks like I’m going to have to figure this one out on my own. If I come up with something I’ll let you know.
