• The “update” has several problems

When adding a new station you can’t upload the thumbnail. (Nothing explains it has to be done by URL)

scrolling text (song title) is not UTF-8 encoded so if it’s not latin alphabet it displays garbage

    Hi @phasar40
We are sorry to hear that you are in trouble with the last update.

    1. We have cross-checked the thumbnail upload and it is working fine for us. Please check it again by clearing your browser cache with a hard refresh.

    2. Can you please share the player preview URL or the page URL where you are using the player, so that we can check if the scrolling text issue can fix the issue for you?

I also noticed if there is an ampersand in the name (i.e. John & Mary) it does not show the ampersand or anything after it. So the stream just shows John

    Hi @phasar40
I have checked the page URL where you display the radio player and I found the below song title:
    https://prnt.sc/yooRalZ7pZG2

And I also checked the station on zeno.fm: https://zeno.fm/radio/radio-free-ukraine/ and the song title is same in the both place.

So, I think the issue is not related to the Radio Player plugin.

You need to look again. That was during a radio show and it displayed correctly because the show info was in English

You marked this as resolved, and it’s not.

And I see someone else reported the charset problem more than 9 months ago

    Hi @phasar40
Upon further checking, I can see the same song title on your website: https://prnt.sc/m_CImdf52QBe

as the song title shows on Zeno.FM: https://prnt.sc/o7OtbHhAnEeZ

Can you please show another place where the song title showing differently?

AGAIN!!! That’s song is encoded in English. Try listening for 5 minutes

    Hi @phasar40
You have some miss understanding of the song title.

The Radio Player plugin does not generate the song title itself.

It scraps the song title from the stream source. As you are using Zeno.FM is the stream source and the song title is scrapped from there and is displayed on your website using the Radio Player plugin.

And the song title is the same on your website as on Zeno.FM.

    Are you clear now?

I know how it works. I built the website and I’ve been running the station 24/7 for 6 years. So I don’t need you to explain to me what a fucking song title is

You obviously don’t want to, or are incapable of fixing the problem with your plugin. You can’t even be bothered to see exactly what the problem is. Are you just lucky enough that ever time you look at my player you just happen to see English, or are you waiting for something in English to play before you make a screen shot> English songs play 20% of the time, yet every time you look you get an English song

YOU NEED TO INSERT CHARSET UTF-8. Someone told you the same thing in these forums more than 9 months ago and you did nothing to fix it.
