Several cat dropdowns with child cat checkboxes?

Hi there. I need to have several main category headings, each with a drop-down or expansion which contains a list of category child. These need to have checkboxes. I also need to be able to check several within each drop-down as well as across the other drop-downs with a submit button.

Is this possible? I have your woof plugin which works exactly like this.

Here’s an example of what I mean but this needs to work with standard WP categories. This example seems to only work with CPT.
