Setup stops after providing wordpress connection

I want to use your plugin. After Installing and activating the setup assistant is starting. after configuring a WordPress connection the assistant returns to this page. It keeps loading – after some seconds there is the message “There was an error loading Google account info. Error retrieving status”

From what I gather, the installation of Google Listings & Ads loops back to step 1.1, as detailed here, displaying an error message.

As a first step, can you please share a screenshot of what you see at that screen? That will help us understand the issue. A tool like https://snipboard.io/ is useful for sharing the screenshots in the forum.

Additionally, to get an idea of how your site is configured, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status, as exemplified here? Once you have the System Status Report, please paste it with your reply here, or share it via?Mozilla Community Pastebin?and share the link here.

Based on the error logs you’ve provided, it seems like you’re experiencing an SSL certificate problem.

The error message “unable to get local issuer certificate” typically indicates that the Certificate Authority (CA) bundle, which is used to verify SSL certificates, is either missing or outdated on your server.

Since the?Google Merchant Center?account requires that your site has a secure payment process, kindly update the SSL certificate and then check again if the issue persists.

Some users have resolved it using the?WP Encryption?plugin. Could you please give this a try and let us know how it goes?

CURLE_PEER_FAILED_VERIFICATION (60)
The remote server’s SSL certificate or SSH fingerprint was deemed not OK. This error code has been unified with CURLE_SSL_CACERT since 7.62.0. Its previous value was 51.

When i request the url with curl from my server (Windows Server 2016) i get the following:

curl https://api-vipgo.woocommerce.com/google/connection/google-mc

curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired

curl performs SSL certificate verification by default, using a "bundle"
of Certificate Authority (CA) public keys (CA certs). If the default
bundle file isn't adequate, you can specify an alternate file
using the --cacert option.
If this HTTPS server uses a certificate signed by a CA represented in
the bundle, the certificate verification probably failed due to a
problem with the certificate (it might be expired, or the name might
not match the domain name in the URL).
If you'd like to turn off curl's verification of the certificate, use
the -k (or --insecure) option.

When i request the url with curl from my local notebook (Windows 11) i get the following:

i solved this topic.

1. i downloaded th latest CA-bunlde-file from https://curl.se/docs/caextract.html
2. i referenced this file in php.ini with property curl.cainfo in section [curl]

I see that you have solved the problem on your own. That’s great to hear! Indeed, downloading the latest CA-bundle-file and referencing it in the php.ini file is the correct solution when you encounter a CURLE_PEER_FAILED_VERIFICATION error.

Did fixing the SSL issue also resolve your original problem, or is it still ongoing?
