I have seem some instances of servers where the symbols would not lead to a correct authentication but this was a bit hit and miss.

Therefore try just using numbers and upper/lower case letters and see if that works.

Thanks Mark for your quick response. Alas, I’ve tried simple letters and numbers and still get the error:username and/ or etc… error on the link https://www.talenus.co.uk/?wpbb=broadbean.

May be a stupid question but should I adding something to the jobs page?

    Thanks for any help!

If you just visit that link (https://www.talenus.co.uk/?wpbb=broadbean) then yes you are going to get that error as you have not posted the XML feed to that URL which should of course include the username and password set.

Thanks Mark, I guess that means getting a successful feed in the adcourier portal, only there’s no field for password in there?

Have you contact your Broadbean account manager to get a feed to your site setup?

Yes they’re pointing me to the https://networkportal.adcourier.com/feed# page and asking me to set the feed up in there – or should I just be asking them to sort it? (I’m not sure what’s being paid etc. as I’m johnny in the middle!!

    Help is really appreciated.

    Thanks,

I believe that is the section where you should add the details of how the feed should be setup e.g. a sample XML etc.

Great, thanks again – and thanks for not calling me an idiot – that I believe is the “missing something obvious” bit!

Just (hopefully) one last thing – are there particular ways to fill out the template information – I can see username and password, contact details etc. but are there any elements that need to change specific to your plugin? (I’m still getting the Success Match Error when trying to create the feed).

I just can’t seem to get past the success match element even with changing relevant info throughout the template / sample section.

If you can offer any advice I’d be really grateful.

    Thanks again,

    Chris

I’m in the same boat too.

the way in which broadbean asks for the success data is as if it should match a markup found in the plugin. So if we’re not modifying the plugin what would the success match be?

The screenshot above – references the request. Mark, how have you done this in the past when integrating with Broadbean?

    Thanks,

You can see the success message here:

    https://github.com/wpmark/wpbroadbean/blob/master/inbox.php#L227

It should let you know how the message is outputted. You will also notice there is a filter on that message to. This means you could run a function on this filter to amend the message to whatever you wanted.

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for the response – that has worked perfectly.

    Greg
