    I updated the plugin to 4.9.2 and then it said I needed to run the configuration validator. So I did and that said there were no issues. I then tested the live contact form and the first thing I noticed is that the Subject part of the form is now gone. I went ahead and tested it and it said “Setup not completed.” This shows quickly in pale grey font and disappears. Finally, no email made it to the inbox.

    1. Why did the subject part vanish from the form after updating? How do I make that show back up? (I tried re-typing it all and saving the form again, but still not there.)

    2. What does “Setup not completed.” actually mean? How do I fix this?

    Please advise. Thank you.

    Why do you think so? I don’t see any form of Contact Form 7 on the page.

    Hey! Thank you for pointing out what I could not “see”! I have taken this site over from another developer and saw your plugin installed and assumed that it was being used on the site… I have now put the Contact Form 7 shortcode into the page and the form now functions as expected…and the email is coming through!
