Yep, i managed to get a lavalamp navigation up and running for a video production site – https://www.konclave.com

This is the tutorial I used for the coding of the menu into WordPress

ya, ive been trying that second tutorial from net tuts, havnt gotten it to work yet. (i suspect the jquery libraries)
ill give a fresh go with a clean 2011 theme and reference the tutorial you used and lets see ??

my end goal is to combine superfish and lavalamp, like the guys at elegant themes aften do.

i actually cannot get it to work ??
at first nothing was happening so i figured something isnt linked right, and all i found was that the the stlyes had to be changed from IDs to classes (.nav) and yes, that made the style change (bigger nav bar), but the blob is nowhere to be seen!

my only idea is somehow the jquery is not loading. but all the link from the source work.

ok, i realized i also missed the # to . in the short custom script.

still acting weird though ??

did you by the way get this to work ok with dropdown (seems when i go to a child menu item the blog thinks ive gone off the menu, but that could just be because the styling is weird now i guess)

ok, just to keep the thread going till the end, i realized also that twenty elven theme was using a class “access” for the menu instead of nav or menu or something. so this removed and all working.

now to get the spastic nav to play with play with superfish … )

Opps! Sorry for my late reply but it seems to be working now! Just the styling of the blob seems to be a bit off due to the width of the menu. Well done!
