Setup in test mode

When you have WooCommerce Payments installed on a live website ( Not a localhost test site ) you can enable test mode payments from this setting below.

You can then use any of these test cards to purchase orders in test mode.

hi @stuartduff thanks for Quick response but i am stuck at one step during “Connect your account and finish setup” where page is showing like “Select an account for payouts” please check attached screenshot link.

kindly suggest how to complete these step with test card details. so i would able to use woocommerce payment method.

From the screenshots that you’ve shared, it seems that you’re in the account creation process. Further, it looks like your account was created in live mode.

In this case, we may have to delete the account created so that you’re able to start afresh with creating a new test account.

To have the live account deleted, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to login to your WooCommerce account or create an account before you can access that page.

Thanks for providing the screenshot of the issue you’re currently encountering. To help us look into this issue I have a few questions.

First, is this the original account that was created in live mode, or a separate account that you created in test mode?

Second, is your goal to accept live payments on this site or only to be functional in test mode?

Third, I’d like to take a look at what is running on the site, could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply.

First,-> no i created another separate account in test mode.
Second,-> right now my goal is checking working of woocommerce payment method because i am working as developer and i need to make my custom plugin comtabile with woocommerce payment in terms of subscription, so currently i am want to work only with test mode.

Thank you for getting back to us with the screenshot.

Based on this, and the previous screenshots you’ve shared, it seems you’ve already configured the extension. Note that the wp-config constant needs to be added before you begin setting up WooCommerce Payments and not after the process.

As of now, you have two options:

1. Complete setting up the account for live mode, and once your account is ready for live mode, switch to test mode as per Enable Test Mode – Documentation
2. If you are not going to be accepting live cards on the test site at all, then you can contact us directly from the email address you used to set up the WooCommerce Payments account via [email protected], and request to delete the current account so that you can set up a new account in dev mode.

For payments done via Stripe extension, you can check the transaction details for the payment gateway on your Stripe account.

For payment done via WooCommerce Payments, you can check the transactions under WP Admin > Payments > Transactions.

Irrespective of the payment gateway, you can find the order details for all store orders under

WP Admin > WooCommerce > Orders
