The settings page in Updraft won’t save my settings. E.g. I change it to Weekly backups, hit “Save” (nothing happens), if I then refresh the page it’s back to Manual backups.

I can authenticate Dropbox (and it says I have successfully authenticated it) but it won’t save that I want to upload backups to Dropbox (on the Backup/Restore tab when clicking Backup Now it tells me that no cloud storage is configured).

I am able to manually backup and store on my server but can’t change this to any other settings.

    I’ve tried:
    – Wiping settings
    – Deactivating Updraft and reactivating
    – Deleting Updraft and reinstalling

Still same error. Is there something I can do to fix this? I use Updraft on all my other sites and have had great success with it.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

There could be conflict between UpdraftPlus and other plugins you are using.
Could you try to temporarily deactivate the other plugins then re-setup UpdraftPlus again. Do you still get the same problem?

    Hi Bryle,

I tried deactivating the plugins but no difference. Still won’t save settings.

    Cheers

Could you run the following test with your browser’s developer tools?

    1. In your browser, open your Developer Tools (instructions on how to do this for each major browser can be found here)
    2. Open the ‘Console’ tab if it is not already open
    3. Reload the page
    4. Do you see any errors appear in the developer console? Could you send me a copy of screenshot of those errors?

    Thanks,
    Harshad

    Hi Harshad,

This is what I get in the developer console. Any idea what I can try next?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

It appears that the server is unable to load that specific file. Are you able to check which file is that?

Have you also tried using a different browser? As browser extensions could also cause conflict with UpdraftPlus.

    Hi Bryle,

I changed the theme on the site and did a bunch of other work and then tried again, and now the settings save. I guess it must have been a theme conflict.

    Thanks for helping!
