I have just attempted to install the plugin due to a brute force hacking attempt that caused me some real issues.

I had my site already set up with reCAPTCHA as I was using it on a contact form. It works and mo issues with it. I am assuming that the same site key and secret key can be used with the plugin as it seems to be one pair for use sitewide?

When I input the key pair on the settings screen/page and save, they don’t save. I have tried it numerous times. Just refused to save and I continue to get the message that it is not configured correctly. I am a little puzzled by it.

I don’t think it makes a difference, but I am running a local caching plugin on the site and am using a CDN as well. But, both were also running when I got the reCAPTCHA going on the contact form/page (and the admin area isn’t being cached by either local or CDN anyway).

I am probably just making a noob mistake, but if someone has a suggestion on what I might be doing wrong, I would very much appreciate a heads up.

    Michael

  • I don’t consider myself a noob and have the same issue. Copy/pasted keys from google, plugin won’t display the recaptcha, message on top keeps saying ‘not installed properly’ ..

In my experience, sometimes Google doesn’t return the correct responses as a very occasional and intermittent issue. If you are consistently experiencing this and it’s not working, though, I’d love to hear more details about your setup.
