• Hi,

I have created 2 pages one called ‘about’ the other called ‘blog’ and I have uninstalled all plugins.

When I select ‘A static page (select below)’ and I set ‘about’ as the static page and ‘blog’ as the posts page, and hit save, the screen refreshes and the selection has switched back to ‘Your latest posts’.

    Why is this not saving?

  • This is a great question. The short answer is: without more information, we probably would just be guessing.

So, let’s rule some stuff out. First, install firebug in firefox. Click the little bug in the upper right hand corner and it’ll bring up a window at the bottom half.

In this window, click Console, and enable. Now, try to save. Does anything appear in red? If so, please copy and paste it.

If not, please check your server logs. These can be in different places depending on where you’re hosting. You want error.log if running Apache, and mysql.log if running mysql.

I have this feeling it’s a database error…but in all honesty, that’s just a guess.

    Best of luck!
