    Hi guys,

In recent days, I’ve received several notifications that the /wp-content/uploads/aios/firewall-rules/settings.php file was changed on multiple websites, even though I haven’t even logged in during this period. Why does the plugin update its settings on its own?

    Hi @veris18

    /wp-content/uploads/aios/firewall-rules/settings.php stores firewall configs,

It should update when the firewall config changes/updated,

Also recently Block fake google bot feture moved to PHP firewall so the whitelisted Google Bot IPs gets updated daily that might be the reason it shows as updated,

    Regards

Yes, that’s why I’m wondering why file is updated without any actions on my end.

PHP firewall is not activated. Is it still possible that file is updated under these conditions?

    Hi @veris18

If you have Block fake Googlebots: enabled from WP Security >Firewall > Internet bot – tab pleae disable it. It is the setting if enabled it will update daily the google bot IPs

    Regards
