Settings page blank etc

What do you mean the settings page is blank? Are you referring to when you are in your dashboard navigating to Settings -> Document Gallery? If you’re going there and seeing a blank screen then I suspect some other plugin/theme is messing with things they should not be.

Can you tell me what version of both WordPress and Document Gallery you are running, please. Also, please be sure to read through the installation page, as it describes how you can include icons on your pages in great detail.

If you’re still stumped after reading that page, then we can work together to figure this out for you.

Hi WordPress 3.8.3
Just upgraded your plugin to latest update. Didnt realise it was just add media on the page which does work and is brilliant. The settings in my dashboard is still blank but not sure if I need it or not?
If i save the option settings page in my dashboard I get this.
ERROR: options page not found

Glad you got the main gallery working!

The settings page isn’t strictly necessary, but it is helpful for configuring your defaults and enabling some thumbnail generation methods. Do you mind doing a few tests with me?

The first thing I would like to do is disable all plugins except Document Gallery and switch your theme to a default one (Twenty Thirteen is a good option). Once that’s done, can you see if the issue you are having persists? What I want to do is figure out whether the issue is coming from someone else’s code going rogue (which is my working assumption). If we can isolate who is causing the problem, that’ll be the first step to getting a resolution.

Hi OK deactivated all plugins and changed to twenty thirteen but still blank. Sorry.

Strange… I’m not sure what to tell you.

This is the first time I’ve heard of this issue so I have to think it’s something specific to your environment, but I don’t know what else it might be. Have you done anything “strange” with your install? Maybe modified some of the WordPress core files?

It is a multisite if that makes any difference.

Just setup a normal wordpress site without the multisite and the settings are now there. Only thing i would like to change id to get rid of the hyperlink below the thumbnail and only have the file name/ Would this be possible.

Interesting. I don’t have a multisite in my test environment right now, but sounds like I need to set one up and see if I can figure out what is happening.
