    Hello,

Is there a way to apply the plugin’s main settings to links in the comments?
Today the settings are divided is by external and internal links – but not by the location of the link and it is important – because posts and pages content is under my control but comments are by others (possibly spammers), so I wish to treat them differently.

    Thanks.

  • @eitanc unfortunately this is not possible directly. You can create some kind of filter that can add a specific class to links at the comments section and then use the class filter option of the plugin. It’s the only way for now.

    Thanks.
    So please consider adding this.
The current situation makes the plugin very limited in it accuracy level.

@eitanc try one thing. Go here: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZwBhakZt1UJm0cTur5ALaq7SviTHV82YEiV

Untick All contents (the whole page) then leave just the comment part there ticked.

At the Exclude external links by URL: add just the word http

Now go to the Excluded link and try to configure what you need and check if it solves your issue. It should work like this. This will affect your internal links as well at comments section, as it will catch all links started by HTTP.

No main image loads at this link

@eitanc I’m seeing the image when I click the link…

I do not wish to enter this complexity. Let know if and when you change the plugin’s basic concept.

@eitanc, according to the dev team the basic concept that I described will be the same. The only difference will be, probably a new option to ignore internal links when the rule is very generic. Although You can already simulate this by adding your base domain to Include external links by URL: setting at that same setting tab.

Too complex. I guess I will look for another plugin to handle these follow/nofollow attributes. This plugin does not enable to easily set different config for links originated by the site (should be more trusted) and these by visitors (cannot be trusted).
    Thanks.

@eitanc I cannot do more than what I’ve done. Also, I cannot understand how is it too complex when I gave you exactly what you have to do. Just copy and paste and it’s working…
