Settings Not Saved

Really great work! Amazing…

I am sure that I goofed somewhere but rechecked my work and I can’t seem to get the settings to save and persist. I have gone through the walkthrough on Youtube for a custom theme. I see the options in the customizer. As expected, some options work while others do not. However, the options that do function do not persist when I save and publish. If I save and publish and exit and come back into customizer, the settings I just save are not there (likewise, of course, on the frontend when I visit the site). Also, I don’t see any changes to the html that head that a new stylesheet has been attached.

I am not a noob to php or wordpress so don’t feel like you have to dumb-down your response too much ?? If you could just point me to where you think I goofed up, I can probably find it. I must be overlooking something that would account for this behavior.
