Hello. I’m evaluating Product Feed PRO for use with Facebook and Google Shopping. I’ve noticed that when setting field mappings, the changes are very frequently not saved after clicking the Save button.

For instance, I just set g:description to Product Short Description then saved. I regenerated the feed xml, but there was no change. I went back to the field mappings screen and the g:description field was once again mapped to Product Description. I also noticed this when trying to map g:brand to a static value. The static value was just never saved.

Any clue what’s going on here?

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

That sounds like a (object)-caching/back-up plugin putting back old settings. Are you running such a plugin?

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m running W3 Total Cache. I had the same thought about caching plugins, but I’ve been using it for 6 months and I’ve never had this issue with any other plugins.

I just disable object caching, so I’ll see how that works.

Yep, disabling object caching in the W3 Total Cache settings seems to have fixed it.
