After I install and create access levels… The options below the access levels dont show anything.. They are blank. They dont show anything at all. When I click on each tab it doesnt go anywhere or do anything.. At the top of the page this is only thing that changes (#top#section-capabilities)

  • I’m having exactly the same issue. Set up all the access groups then nada!

Thank you both for reporting this.

The fact that nothing shows up and that the tabs aren’t working tells me that there is a JavaScript error, most likely caused by an incompatibility with another plugin.

To find out what plugin is causing the problem, go to the level editor page (the page affected), open the browser console (press F12 in most browsers), refresh the page, and look at the errors being displayed in the console.
By moving the mouse over the error, you should be able to see the full path of the conflicting script. In this path, you should see the name of the incompatible plugin.

Deactivate that plugin and see if the problem is resolved. If it is, I will recommend that you open a support thread in the forum of the other plugin and link to this thread.

Let me know if you have questions about these steps.

    Thanks..

for me the plugin causing the issue is JW Player 6 Plugin for WordPress. When i deactivate it, your plugin works. Unfortuntely i have too many videos that need the JW plugin and i cant move to JW 7 as of yet…. Any work arounds???

Thank you for letting me know about the incompatibility. I just had a look at that plugin and can confirm that it enqueues a conflicting script on the level editor screen. Unfortunately it looks like it it adds that script (select2) on all pages, including the frontend of your site, so it is hard for me to say how to fix it (without potentially breaking its functionality).

I suggest that you contact the developers of the plugin and let them know about the incompatibility. Big plugins such as WooCommerce and Yoast SEO use the same script as Restrict User Access, so I assume that it conflicts with those as well.
