  • I just came across the same issue. I have made sure the both the plugin folder and uploads folders are writable, but still getting the error: Settings could not be imported: Unzipping failed with error “Could not create directory.”

    Yeah, i try giving 755, and 777 permission in booth of those folders, still getting this error.

    Just add this line in your wp-config.php:

    define( 'FS_METHOD', 'direct' );
