Settings broken with php.ini short_open_tag=Off

Hi,
Is there any chance that instances of
<?could be changed to<?phpfor compatibility with servers that don’t haveshort_open_tags=On?For example, the following code (line 18 of views/metaboxes/general.php):
<td><input <?check_empty($this->settings['server_hostname'])?> type="text" ...Results in this on the CAS Maestro Settings page:
