Setting Up WP and Sub-Domains For The First Time
-
Hi all,
I run a static site with static sub-domains for different geographical specific content. For example, if my main domain is https://www.example.com, then i would have https://www.place1.example.com, https://www.place2.example.com and so on.
So we’re about to move over to WordPress, and we still want the sub-domains.
1. What’s the most efficient way to set this up so that we can have the seperate sub-domains with some of their own specific content, but sharing some of the content from the main domain?
2. The size of the main domain and each of the sub domains are quite small, so should we use one MySQL database for this? If so, is it just a change of the
$table_prefix
that is needed for each sub-domain?I thank anyone who can help us in advance.
