• Hi,

I’ve been reading about server side caching and I’m trying to decide what kind of setup I should hire someone to do. It’s a dedicated server with CentOS 7.6 and Plesk Onyx, hosting a WordPress site. I read about varnish, memcached, redis and opcache and I’m a bit confused as I’m not sure if some or all of these services can/should work together and with a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache. I’m looking to get the best performance possible. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Hi @andypp

I think: It depends on who and how setup the server and cache system.
W3 Total Cache can setup with Varnish, or with Varnish and Memcached too, also with Redis!
I have some experience with (W3 Total Cache/Varnish) and (W3 Total Cache/opcache), both of them had a very good result.
Totally, it depends on who and how setup them ??
