Setting up new page for events

  • Hi, I am helping a sports club maintain their website and I am new to word press so please be kind ?? What would be the best way I can set up a new page for events that happen through out the year? Don’t want a calendar type thing more like a listing I guess? Would it be a sub page? Thank you for your help.

  • create a category called events, and post each event as a new post. this way your events category page will show listing.
    you can customize the looks further by customizing the category page design by creating category-$slug.php or category-$id.php file.
    if you want it to look completely different with custom functionality and look and feel etc, then covert your wordpress to multisite and create a subsite called events and proceed..
