Where do I paste the Google Analytics code? And on what page? I just want to track my index(first) page for now.

  • I guess I should see the code when I view the source of the page? I’ve installed and enabled, and entered my UA number. Searching for the text UA is not found in the source code. Have I done something wrong?

I see the code just fine on your site. Have you disabled admin logging? If you have you won’t see the code unless you’re logged out.

Erm – that would be it then. Silly me… Thanks!

    dont set up google analytics.
That rubbish makes that this page here for example often hangs, stops loading.
I had it this morning a couple of times.

I saw in the statusbar google-analytics…..waiting.

Used Google Analyticator on https://www.lepenseur.com 4 days ago but Google still won’t verify my site and no statistics are showing up. Am I missing anything?

I have just checked out both of your websites, and the code is appearing just fine. Perhaps Google is not collecting stats on new accounts until they can get the initial people running fine. Just give it a little more time.

I think Google really jumped the gun with the service. Judging from the crappy amounts of updates and the number of websites that have the code, I don’t think Google was ready for this. I think they thought that maybe they would only double there user base, but were they wrong! Just about every website I have went to in the past day has the Google code.

About a week ago I joined Google Analytics and registered two websites. Google Analytics recognized one of my website’s code then a few hours later could not track/find it. I’ve tried registering several of my sites and Analytics couldn’t find the script for any of them.

I decided to start over and deleted all of my website’s from my Google Analytic account and re-enter them. However, now I can find the ‘Add Website Profile’ link! In the control panel it reads: “To track another website with Analytics, click the ‘Add Website Profile’ link.” Where is it?

You login into Google Analytics and that’s it! You currently can’t do anything with it.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I not seeing the link? Or, is something wrong with Google Analytics?

It looks as if they have pulled the link. I think the want to get things working correctly for the existing users before they add more.

    I’ve been sneaky…
Go to the page to add a new user – end of the url reads vid=1351
change the 1351 to 1151 and voila.

However, despite setting this up on Saturday I still have no stats showing…

Yes it is working erratically but remember that it’s in beta test.

Google seems to have finally picked up my info from http:/www.lepenseur.com . Thanks a lot Cavemonkey50 for the plugin and most importantly the great support.
