Where do I paste the Google Analytics code? And on what page? I just want to track my index(first) page for now.

Well I have developed a plugin called Google Analyticator, which will automatically add the necessary code to track your site. At the moment it track every page, and not just the index.

Now if you’re inserting your code manually it depends on your theme. What’s your theme?

You know forget it that is what I want baby. How come the boys here at wordpress haven’t added it to the website. I searched and only one hit came up about Google Analytics.
    Thanks

It was added to the plugin listing almost 24 hours ago.

I put this plug-in on my site (thanks for making this easy!!) and I added my uaccount info but if I do a View Source on my main page I don’t see the code? Will I see it? Just curious. Google says they don’t see the code on my site but then I have also heard that google says that function on their site isn’t 100% yet.

I did this plugin, but google wont verify it:
    Profile Name: whootah.com
    Website URL: https://whootah.com

    Tracking Unknown
The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website’s home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.

Your site looks like it’s setup correctly, you just need to give google some time. I just left my changes in there and eventually (I checked about 8 hours later), google figured it out.

oh i was assuming they it would refresh when i told it to check again. I just did install the plugin, so will check back tomorrow. thanks!!

It took about 24 hours for them to check mine (poor documentation on Google’s part) but it only checks about every 24hrs, too. I still like https://www.statcounter.com for more instant results but I’ll give it time to build up a record of visits before making final judgment.

Do you guys see a breakdown of your pages content too?
I only see the wordpress main url when I check about the content. No listing of special named pages or menupoints.

If you’re talking about on Google Analytic’s content page, I do see other pages besides my main URL.

I downloaded your plugin now, cavemonkey.
I will see if it changed something tomorrow ??
