• When configuring Disqus with multisite do you have to create a separate site in Disqus for each one of your sites in wordpress? I think this is causing an issue on my main blog when I want to aggregate the post comments.

I poked around and most of the comments from people involve ‘Why? If you’re self-hosting MultSite, you may as well take ownership of comments and users.’

However, I can’t find anyone who successfully integrated MultSite and Disqus.

hmmm. They have a point. I am only trying to use it because the client asked to use it. But of course, she has only used it on regular install and not on a Multisite install. So it sounds like she has to make a decision on whether she wants to use it or not. Thank you for the feedback.

I just tried it on my MultiSite install today and you will have to create a separate site in Disqus for each site. I enjoy having the ability to confirm identities via Disqus; it also allows me to sync comments with the site so the day I stop using it, I still control and own the content.

I’ll note that I have it installed using subdirectories.
