• This is my first time using wordpress. I followed some youtube tutorials and picked the Astra template with elementor. I nearly completed the home page and then suddenly the header and footer disappeared. I didn’t see any options in elementor to change the header and footer, but when I click the customize button at the top of my home page, I found options for the header and footers. It looks like everything is there, but will not display for some reason when I go back to the home page. I searched further on youtube and found another plugin called “Elementor Header & Footer Builder“. I used this new plugin to create a header and footer that looks very similar to the header and footer from the Astra customize option panel. I don’t know how to uninstall Astra or disable it’s header or footers, I would like to just use one plugin that controls it. Even with the Elementor Header & Footer Builder the header and footer will still not display, but sometimes it does when I refresh the home page the header will display. The footer will never display no matter how many times I refresh. This is so strange, and I have no idea how to fix this. Let me know if anyone has any ideas. Do I need to buy the pro version of Astra and Elementor to get the header and footers to display?

Update, it looks like the header is now displaying each time I load the page. The footer displays on all the pages except for the home page.

Since it appears the footer is only not working on my home page (even though I have it set to appear on the entire site for all users), I just simply created a new section at the bottom of my home page and copied the footer contents. I doubt anyone will tell the difference. Hopefully the header and footer doesn’t randomly disappear like that again.

    Hi @dswait ,

For elementor, I find that sometimes when I update the theme version to the latest, things might go missing… just my personal experience.

Thus, nowadays, I don’t update the theme unless it there is security vunlerability.

    Hope this info helps.
