    Hello,

My client is using this plugin on their website and we have realised that a large amount of images are being uploaded and on upload they are being optimised and converted to WebP – this is putting a strain on resources on the server resulting in the website speed becoming slow/sluggish.

I was wondering if it would be possible to set up a CRON job that would run once in the morning and once at night to convert any “new” images. This should hopefully put a lesser strain on the server/website.

    Thank you,
    Javed

    Hi @digitljaved,

    Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately, our plugin does not offer such a possibility. If you want to reduce server load, I recommend using “Remote server” as “Conversion method” in the Advanced Settings tab in the plugin settings panel. Then all images are converted using the remote server, which significantly reduces the load on the server.

    Best,
    Mateusz

    Hi @mateuszgbiorczyk

Where in the plugin is this setting?

I can’t see it anywhere at the moment.

    Thanks,
    Javed

@digitljaved Here you will find information on where to find this option. This conversion method is available in the PRO version of the plugin.

Thank you, let me discuss this with the client and see where we go from there.

I’ll close down this ticket as there is nothing further to add at the moment.
