Setting Static Page when Using Custom Page

  • I am using the free Responsive theme which, like many others, allows users to create a custom home page with special widgets etc. Everything was fine until I decided to use a blog page on my Word Press Website. I went to settings -> Reading to set my Post page and I left my static page as unspecified. Suddenly when typing in my domain name my blog page came up. I tried to set a static home page, but there was no option to choose my custom front page. How can I have both, or can’t I?
