    Hi
This seems a really basic question, so apologies if I’m missing something obvious, but does anyone know how to set a page as a static home page? I’ve looked around for answers, but they all seem to refer to fairly old versions of WordPress.
Also, is there any way of having more than one option of which categories appear in the sidebar?
    Thanks
    David

  • Hi David,

The simplest possible way would be to create a static home page, go to your dashboard, then settings, reading, select the “static page” option, then choose your home page title from the drop-down menu and hit save changes at the bottom of the page.

Where in the world is this option in 2.6.2. I have no option for a homepage under reading. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
