Setting signature field as required field, email sent with no input

As per title, I found your add-on useful, except that even setting the signature field as required, I see the field passing the check and the form is sent even leaving the field completely without a touch.
Am I missing something?

Thanks for the reply.
Plugin updated, then I tried a few times again after resetting cache and removing / replacing the signature widget.
Looks like the issue is still there, could you try yourself?WP 6.6.2
