On importing an event the Author allocated appears to be row 1 from the wp_users table.

I’m logged in as user id 2 (“MyName”) but when I import an ics file I get events created by user id 1 (“SomeoneElse”).

Is there a way to use the id of the user running the import?

Another suggestion would be to put an option on the feed setting screen so a chosen feed user could be set for the feed (in the case of the core calendar) or each feed (for the pro version / more feeds available). This could make it easier, in the back end, to locate all events generated by a particular feed. For instance – I could set up user “EventsFromVenueA”, “EventsManagedByBob” etc.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @dday61,

The calendar is built on the WordPress framework, and therefore inherits the behaviour of the WordPress framework — this is one of those behaviours in WordPress.

I can only suggest that you create another user in WordPress that you are satisfied with, one that will be at the top of the list, that begins with a number, such as:

    01-general-user

This will then be the default user chosen when importing events.

You are welcome to submit a feature request for the second option on our Ideas page, here:
