Hi, I badly need your help in setting up maximum weight limits per order. I have tried a number of plugins for country/weight shipping options including AWD but get stuck all the time.

All I really wanted to do is set a limit to the maximum weight that anyone on the selected countries could order. So for example, I set a limit of 10000g for cart orders, if the total weight of their order exceeds 10000g, they can no longer complete the order and would have to contact us to make an alternative arrangement.

In the Woocommerce>Setting, I have selected Sell to specific countries and have listed the countries I am selling to. Then under Shipping,I enabled only apg shipping method and chose Ship to All Countries you sell to under Restrict shipping to location. In APG settings, I have 11 country groups as below:

    500|659|C1
    1000|792|C1

I also ticked overweight to return the maximum price, entered 0 for number of postcodes and state groups and 11 for country groups. Then I listed the corresponding countries under the country groups.

But when I try to buy items over the 10000g limit I have listed, the shipping cost it charges me is still for 10000g even if the total weight of the items purchased was already 12000g. Now I am back to where I started as when I used AWD.

    Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hi. If you check overweight option, the system returns the maximun rate, in your case 10000 g. If you uncheck it, the system returns NOTHING, and the client can’t buy nothing over 10000 g.

Great! Thanks for your prompt support. I did just that and it did show a message that purchase cannot be completed. Is there a way that I could customise the message to say shipping above maximum need to be organised with seller and for them to contact at an email or phone number?

    Appreciate your help. Thanks

That message it’s generated by WooCommerce.

You can edit the files of your child theme.

@apg, I also have the same question creativeaffinity has. Can you point out which child theme file to create and change?

    cart-shipping.php at cart folder.

There you can edit all the messages.

Great! Will try that. Thanks ??
