    So

    3 ,Make sure you choose the same page at Settings > Reading > Front page displays > Front Page.

    would only be applicable IF you wanted GD to be your home page?

    Secondly

    “For GeoDirectory to work correctly, you need to set WordPress permalinks to use Post name”

    We use %%postname%%Category%%

    Don’t want to change that…is that a problem?

    3rd (this is just a site in testing:

    https://www.pianowizardacademy.com/campus/teachers/united-states/colorado/boulder/south-west/chris-salter/

    The HOME link in the breadcrumb trail leads to our home page. I think it should go to the GD-HOME page? So this is part of my setup problem

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    1 yes.

    2 should work with that too

    3 This will work like that only if you go with step 1

    Thanks

    LAst question

    So for number 3, I need that HOME breadcrumb to go to my GD-HOME without messing around with the other options.

    Is there a workaround?

    (@paoltaia)

    Hi,

    no that’s not possible.

    The Home link of the breadcrumb will take you to the home page of the website.

    Thanks

    OK

    Since i have you I do have 2 more setup issues

    1. When I EDIT a listing, after submitting it, I get automatically taken to our web HOME page. And the edits don’t take.

    2. The theme is really messed up. I have DIVI, i selected DIVI from theme compatibility. I don’t know if I am actually supposed to do something other than simply have it selected.

    But pages like this

    https://www.pianowizardacademy.com/campus/teachers/united-states/colorado/boulder/south-west/chris-salter/

    On the right, are messed up. Latest teacher columnns are too thin.

    https://www.pianowizardacademy.com/campus/teachers/south-west/

    Similiar issues with the right sidebar.

    https://www.pianowizardacademy.com/campus/gd-home

    I don’t know why the background is BLACK.

    We wlll be needing the premium add ons (multi-location etc) but i have to make it look good first.

    thanks

    1) do you have the listing success page in place? You can check thi running GeoDirectory >> GD Tools >> GD pages check.

    If you haven’t deleted it by mistake, you can re-select it in GeoDirectory >> Permalinks.

    2) I believe with Divi you can set the sidebar to be wider. Otherwise go to Appareance >> Widgets >> GD Detail Sidebar, open the popular post view widget : latest teachers and set listing width to 100. Also set post excerpt count to 0. That way it will look much better.

    Same you can do in the home sidebar.

    The background is black because you have this on that page:

    body.custom-background {
        background-color: #000000;
    }

    Seems to be coming from theme options, please ask support to them about this.

    Let us know how you went,

    Thanks

    thank you so far Paulo.

    Have to work on the CSS. Still don’t know where the black background is coming from. I think it is a DIVI bug from going back and forth between the Divi Builder to default WP editor.

    1. I ran the tests and everything appears fine. Listing-Success is in there. But Listing-Preview still goes to our home page with no change in edits.

    So probably listing-preview is missing. I’d need admin credentials to check this. Please register in our forum https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/ and open a topic about this. (it’s free and public for the core plugin and we reply faster.)

    There you will be able to set replies as private and we can continue from there.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    No,listing preview is there. It’s a page that says “please check if everything is correct…etc. Submit

    From there takes me too /home page.

    Will have to open a ticket.

    Thank you
