  • Hi Nicola. Two steps:

    1. In settings -> Reading, set it to “Blog pages show at most” 1 blog post.

    2. When you are writing your actual posts, start with your photo, and insert the More tag between that photo and any additional content. You can see how to access this feature and how it works here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
    (That link is to wordpress. com, not .org, but the feature is exactly the same and it’s a better documentation of the feature.)

    Alternately, you could find a theme that uses featured images this way (or modify an existing theme to be a child theme that does this), but using settings + More tag is the easiest way.
