setting featured image format as Gallery

    Hi,

    I am using the theme you provided on my homepage. Recently, while I was editing my homepage, I noticed a problem with the featured image setting in the post, so I am asking a question.

    My problem is that I cannot set the featured image format as Gallery. Do you have any advice that might help? Thank you for reading.

    Hi @theredhorse,

    I don’t understand the question, unfortunately. Do you mean that you can’t change the post format to Gallery when creating a post?

    This applies to both creating a new post and editing an existing one.

    To set the featured image of the post

    select Format/Gallery > click Set featured image button > select Media Library

    In the Media Library I can’t select multiple images for the gallery. So, I can’t create a gallery for the featured image of the post.

    Thanks for your answer and providing such a great theme that is free to use. If you have time, could you please fix this issue?

    @theredhorse The solution used for the galleries in Fukasawa has always been a bit of a hack, but these instructions from the readme file should still work:

    == Use the gallery post format 

    1. Go to Admin > Posts > Add New.
    2. Select the "Gallery" post format in the Post Attributes box.
    3. Click "Add Media" and upload the images you wish to display in the gallery.
    4. Close the Media window and publish/update the post.
    5. The images you uploaded should now be displayed in the post gallery.

    Thank you for your quick and kind reply. The part I’m having trouble with is the gallery for featured image. In previous versions of WordPress, I was able to create galleries without any problems(https://theredhorse.com/?p=483), but in the latest version, cannot create gallery for featured image. Sorry to bother you. If you have time, please take a look. Thanks again.
