Hello, I followed the WP Mail Brevo setting video to set up Brevo as Mail Sender.

Even if all Brevo DNS Configuration “Values” matched with my OVH Domain, I still have this error message :

    Versions:
    WordPress: 6.5.3
    WordPress MS: No
    PHP: 8.2.10
    WP Mail SMTP: 4.0.1

    Params:
    Mailer: sendinblue
    Constants: No
    API Key: Yes

    Debug:
Source de l’e-mail : WP Mail SMTP
    Mailer: Brevo
    unauthorized: not verified

I created a Sender, Domain configuration checked, API Key copy past ok but still have this error.
Can I have an explaination, may be something I did not understand ?

    Thanks

  • In Dev environment, we have the same issue with sending emails via the API. The Dev IP address is on the list of authorized IPs in Brevo, just like the Prod and Pre-Prod environments, which both work without any problems. However, we encounter this error in dev environment as shown :

    Versions:
    WordPress: 6.5.3
    WordPress MS: No
    PHP: 7.4.33
    WP Mail SMTP: 4.0.1

    Params:
    Mailer: sendinblue
    Constants: No
    API Key: Yes

    Debug:
Email Source: WP Mail SMTP Mailer: Brevo unauthorized: not verified

    Same issue here:

    Versions:
    WordPress: 6.5.4
    WordPress MS: No
    PHP: 8.2.12
    WP Mail SMTP: 4.0.1

    Params:
    Mailer: sendinblue
    Constants: No
    API Key: Yes

    Debug:
    Email Source: WP Mail SMTP
    Mailer: Brevo
    unauthorized: not verified

    Hi @melvinlsm974 / @joshuasardinha / @ghadabouraoui,

Thanks for reaching out & I apologize for the trouble!

When you get a chance, please log into your Brevo account and try whitelisting your sites IPs (the IP address of the site where it’s hosted) and see if that resolves your issue.

    • To find your site IP(s), please use this tool and enter your domain name.
    • Then, go to Brevo security settings section (see link).
    • Add your site’s IP(s) to the “Authorize new IP address” section (see).

Once you complete the above steps, try sending a test email (WP Mail SMTP -> Tools) from your WordPress site.

In case you’re still experiencing the same issue after following the above steps, you may need to get in touch with Brevo support, and they should be able to assist you further.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello @darshanaw

I try to authorize new IP Adress, but still have the same error notification.

    Support Ticket sended to Brevo.

    Hello,

Why was this marked as “Resolved”?
This does not seem to be an issue with Brevo, but with the latest version of WP Mail SMTP (4.0.1).
I updated today and it no longer worked, with everything else checked and being correctly configured.
The issues just solved by reverting back to Version 3.2.1, which I currently had in place for the particular site where I made the update.
Testing with a clean, up-to-date environment, on the same host and with the same Brevo account, the same behavior can be observed. Version 3.2.1 works just find, while Version 4.0.1 results in the error mentioned in this thread.
I did not yet test other versions in-between 3.2.1. and 4.0.1, but I will proceed to do so and see which one is the latest that works.
