Setting default value not working

    Hello, regarding the Country field I can’t set a default value. I know I can set a default country, but that’s not what I want. Is it possible to set a default value like “Select country:”? Currently if visitors if this website visit the contact form, they see a default country (The Netherlands in this case), but not every visitor is from the Netherlands. Every visitor needs to select his or her own country now. So how can I make the starting value more neutral?

    By the way the option “Enable Auto Country Select” is also not working.

    I managed to set a default text string by removing the “placeholder attribute in the field. So [countrytext* countrytext placeholder “Country*”] becomes [countrytext* countrytext “Country*”]. Now I see “Country* with a blank flag, which is good.

    But I still would like to know why the option “Enable Auto Country Select” is not working.
