Setting a default selection for Dropdown search box of a list

First of all I would like to thank you for a great plugin and what it seems to be a great support that you are providing here…

That out of the way, I am just curious if there is a way to configure the shortcode with a default value for the search drop down box? Currently when the short-code loads, it expects you to make a selection from the Search “dropdown” to specify which column you would like to search for. I want to be able to keep the option to select different columns but at the same time, on-load, I want it to default to a certain column…
