    Hello,
I have store in different cities and products are being sold at different prices.
To solve this problem, I am thinking to add city variations to the products in which the prices will vary according to the city they choose.
However, how do I restrict customers to choose the same city at checkout page as the chose in the variation?

  • Hello,

You may want to consider using a plugin like Conditional Shipping and Payments to prevent certain products from being sent to specific regions.

No, I want to put cities as variations because prices of products will differ according to those locations. I have one store in Chicago and other in New York and the products I am selling to these cities are same but prices are different. For example, The product A has $50 price in Chicago and $70 in New York, I want different prices for the product A.
So I am thinking to solve this problem by using variations by which customer will choose a city from variation where he want his/her items to be delivered and prices will change accordingly.

But how do I make sure that if customer is based in New York, he/she doesn’t choose Chicago as the location?
That’s why I want the chose variation option and city value on checkout to be the same.

    How do I achieve that?

    Hello,

how do I make sure that if customer is based in New York, he/she doesn’t choose Chicago as the location?

Here is another plugin you can check out. Although I’m not sure if this works for variations, it looks like this plugin can hide products conditionally based on customer’s IP address: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-geolocation-plugin-ip-based-products-filter/22022059#

Since core WooCommerce doesn’t have the ability to prevent certain products from being purchased depending on their location, you’d need to either find a plugin that works for your requirements, or consider a customizing solution. If any of the plugins don’t meet your requirements, we recommend getting in touch with a web developer or one of the experts listed here to have it custom-developed for you.
