Set up Search Console:An error occurred: matching added Search Console property

    I am trying to add google analytics and search console. It is a wordpress website, so I added site kit by google.

    Good to know I switched hosting parties. I get the following error message at the step to add Google Search Console:

    Set up Search Console

    To see how people find your site on Google Search, have Google add jongleercursus to Search Console for you and connect it to Site Kit.

    An error occurred: matching added Search Console property failed

    How can I fix this?
