set up issues

  • Hi – pretty nice free plugin but having a few issues i need help with.

    1. widget event title doesn’t click to event, just to whichever page the widget is placed on
    2. How do I create URLs with dates only for event/? I don’t understand how to use pretty permalinks and I don’t want all my site’s posts to have dates in them anyway.
    3. organizer and country drop downs in backend don’t work – change color but don’t actually show options (i do have saved organizers).

    Hi – I’ve updated to new release and some issues are resolved but major one in backend is not. I’d appreciate you fixing this bug so we can actually use the tool.

    organizer and country drop downs in backend don’t work – change color but don’t actually show options (i do have saved organizers). this means that you can’t add existing venues and must recreate each time and the country cannot be added so Googlemaps not really working.

    FYI this problem persists in Firefox, Chrome, and IE for multiple computers. Can’t add new events. Please advise regarding this bug.

    Hey tauraedgar. Thanks for the note here, and apologies that you haven’t yet received a reply here. I wanted to jump in and do my best to make sure we get you sorted. It sounds like all that’s really left is the backend issue from your second note. Please let me know if not.

    This does sound like a cause for concern, and if you’re using the 3.0.2 release of The Events Calendar, it sounds to me like there’s a conflict of some kind at play. I say this because I haven’t received other reports of this specific nature.

    Can you confirm that you’re running on at least WP 3.5, and that you’ve checked whether this might be a conflict with another plugin and/or the theme? If you have – and you find it persists in even a default Twenty Twelve install with no other plugins – would you mind sharing a screenshot of what you’re seeing? I am committed to helping get this patched, but since I’m unable to recreate I will need your help in finding out what’s up.

    Thanks Rob. I tested it in another installation with fewer plugins and the drop downs work so I accept that it is probably a plugin clash. However, I still need your help and consider this a bug. As you can guess, other plugins will tell me their’s is working fine so it’s not their issue. And indeed the only plugin of the many I’ve downloaded that’s having a problem is TEC. Thanks in advance for looking into this further
