Set up an order as ‘Purchase’ instead of ‘Order’.

Hi, I run a store, but in fact I do not actually run ‘orders’, but customers actually only pay me on my site.
The problem is that every email, including invoices, says “# Order # 1234”, and I want “# Payment # 1234” to appear
I can not find where to change it.
    Can you dare me please?
    Thanks!

    Hi @r89696

There are two ways that you can consider to update this text:

    • You could work with some custom code to edit the templates of the emails. Here’s a tutorial on how to do that.
    • – You can find all your template emails by navigating to your WordPress Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.

    • You could also use a translation plugin like Loco Translate or Say What? With that, find that specific string and change it to what you want.
    • – Here’s the user manual of Loco Translate for a quick check: https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/manual

Let us know how it goes! All the best!

    Hi, thanks for your response.
I will explain myself more clearly:
I work with an external clearing provider that has a dedicated WordPress plugin for credit clearing that interfaces with Vocommerce.
I have now completely canceled all the emails my customers receive on every purchase.
One thing my customers do receive automatically by email, and that is the tax invoice, and it arrives and is produced and sent by my clearing provider, automatically.
The problem is that in each such invoice is written for me: a tax invoice for ‘Order No. 1234. And I do not want the word’ Order ‘written on it, but the word’ Payment ‘.
The plugin that produces the word derives the word invitation from somewhere in WordPress, and I want to change that.
Can you help me with that?
    thank you very much!

This is a fairly complex development topic. I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

I can also recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.

You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.
