Set submitted images as Featured Images

    I have been using the plugin for a while and it is great. Thanks for your hard work.

    The only issue I have found is that the setting “Set submitted images as Featured Images” never seemed to work correctly for me.

    If I preview a user-submitted post, the image does show up in the post. However, if I go into the editor, the image is not in the Featured Image section and I have to select it before saving changes.

    Hi @tjalexander70,

    Glad to help. I am not sure what might be interfering with normal functionality. There are a couple of ways to troubleshoot the situation:

    – Install new WP, activate *only* USP, and re-test to see how it works normally

    – OR, you can use a troubleshooting guide to test your existing setup

    It sort of depends on your current site, number of plugins, and other factors, which of the above techniques to go with.

    Yeah, I know the standard response of most plugin developers is to turn everything off and try to find the conflict. I just can’t do that. The site gets a decent amount of traffic and just can’t strip the site down to nothing. I have checked the error logs and there is nothing there. I guess I will just live with it until I can’t.

    Actually I was providing an alternative to having to deactivate all plugins. If you don’t want to deactivate everything, you can simply set up an alternate WP install (it’s free and easy), and then test from defaults from there. It is a much cleaner way to test, imho.
