• Dear Community,

I tried searching for this but to no avail. Did this option once exist and was removed from WordPress?

At any case, I am looking for a way to add a BUTTON to the Editor, which would allow me to insta-set any currently selected image in the post’s body as the FEATURED IMAGE.

Now, just to clarify, I am NOT talking about the already existing button in the bottom right corner titled “Set Featured Image”. I know it is there. And its functionality is such, that it opens the media library to let you select an image from there.

No. I’m talking about an image which has already been inserted into the post, which you can select, and with the click of a single-button, it will be set as the featured image.

Now please, before some of you start asking “why do you need this etc.”, know that for my purposes I need this feature. So let’s try to move beyond that.

Anyone have any ideas? Code samples? Recommended plug-ins?

    Thanks!! ??
