Set role from option in registration form

    Hi,

    Is it possible to have a drop down list in the registration, for area say with the options A,B,C,D then depending on what is selected from the drop down place the new user in a particular group?

    I know we can have multiple registration forms, each placing the new user in a particular group based on the form but it would be ideal if we could do that from a drop down list so we only need one registration form.

    My worry is that if people email new users a link that they’ve used to register people might end up in the incorrect groups.

    Hi David,

    You can add the role selector field to a register form so people can select what role they want. This would require you to make your roles the same as A,B,C,D.
