    Hello,

How can I set some product pages to no index so that they are no longer indexed by Google?

After I set some pages to no index and removed them via Google Search Console, they were found again a few weeks later.

    best regards
    Daniel

    Hello @virtual03,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

If those products are already set to noindex, then Google should skip them and deindexed them on the search results pages.

In this case, you can use the URL Inspection tool of your GSC account on those URLs to check the referring page and figure out from where Google is discovering those URLs:

    Hope that helps.

    Hello @rankmathsupport,

Thank you for your quick help and support.

In any case, my experience has been that the pages are not removed immediately but after weeks.

    best regards
    Daniel

    Hello @virtual03,

Please note that it may take some time for Google and search engines to deindex URLs if they are already showing on the search results pages.

According to Google guidelines, crawling can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. The crawling and deindexing of the website depend on the authority and crawl budget.

In case you wanted important/specific links to be removed immediately, you can use the page removal tool in your Google Search Console account.

    Hope that helps.
