Great plugin! But one problem I am having are the footnote numbers – they don’t always start at “1” for some reason. Is there a way to reset this or to force a footnote to have a given number?

Thanks, and sorry it took a bit for me to get back to this. (I wasn’t getting email notifications on support requests.) Could you post a link to a page where this is happening? I’ll see if I can get it fixed.

I just got into the same problem. Example here: https://mnmlst.ch/wunschliste
When I change the order in the table the numbers change also. I mean it always starts with 2 and then displays the 1. Works on other sites perfectly. Using the plugin TablePress to display the table. Maybe an issue with that plugin?!

Thanks for the example @mnmlst! I should be able to take a look this week and I’ll see what’s going on.

I’ve just released an update to the plugin that should fix the issue with TablePress! Let me know if you see any more issues with it.

TablePress (and probably other plugins as well) causes some shortcodes to execute in a different order than they appear on the page. The update adds JavaScript that corrects the footnote numbers if they’re not in the right order.

    Thank you, works perfectly!
